Join Campus Labs and Lauren Hobbs of University of Alabama at Birmingham ("UAB") for this webinar on the topic of tracking service on campus. Lauren Hobbs shares why service tracking is so important at UAB and tells us about her implementation of GivePulse with Engage on campus. We also review basic options for tracking service on Engage, including the service hour tool, self-reported experiences, and the GivePulse integration.
The below PDF includes notes for UAB's slides, which are shared as images. When asked about the GivePulse implementation, Lauren Hobbs shared excellent words of wisdom including:
- Make sure when you activate the integration you have built out GivePulse and there will be plenty of service opportunities for students to browse
- Consider using attendance reports and exports of existing Engage service hours or self-reported experiences to also populate service activity onto GivePulse to encourage students' adoption of the new tool
- The integration can ensure Engage has presence on campus as a one-stop shop for involvement regardless of hosting department or organization. Seek buy-in from campus leadership reflective of this broader purpose to encourage adoption across campus and by leadership
