This Spring, the Student Involvement, Leadership and Community Engagement Office at Colorado State University is focusing its marketing efforts on how students leave their legacy on campus through involvement opportunities. Spearheaded by the RamLink and Marketing student coordinators, the office has created marketing materials, including printed media, t-shirts, custom permanent markers, stickers, and other promotional items with a custom "LEAVE YOUR MARK" logo. When giving away these items at a plaza event, all of the staff in the office helped introduce hundreds of students to RamLink and the tools available in RamLink to leave their marks on campus. Each of the items were prizes awarded to students for participating in the following activities:

  • Custom Sharpies were given to students who wrote how they would leave their mark on campus on slips of paper which were then posted on large corkboards on the plaza for all to see.
  • Stickers and silicone bracelets were given to students who filled out a quick survey about the features of RamLink (the survey was created in RamLink and students can log on to complete the survey).
  • T-Shirts were given to students who allowed us to film a 20-30 second interview about why involvement is important to them and how they plan on leaving their mark on campus. We will use the clips in marketing videos throughout the upcoming semester and school year.
The marketing event was a huge success and we have seen an increase in active users on RamLink and an increased level of engagement on campus. Students on campus are proud to wear the "LEAVE YOUR MARK" shirts and use the custom sharpies often.
