Before you begin using the Event Check-in App to track attendance for your events, you’ll first want to brand the style of the mobile wallet version of the Event Pass. Users on your campus will download this mobile version from the Engage web application to their mobile devices. Branding your pass contributes to consistent marketing across campus, helping students, faculty, and staff easily recognize the pass as being connected to other campus initiatives.

When you edit the Event Pass, you can choose to brand it with a logo and an accent color. We recommend keeping these consistent with your institutional or Engage community branding for easy recognition.

To edit your community's pass, navigate to the Admin view of your Engage community, select the Configure dropdown, and then select Event Pass.

Note the following list of guidelines for the logo:

Guidelines for iOS

  • Logo should have a width to height ratio of 1:1. In other words, the width should not exceed the height.
  • The logo will appear on a white background so please avoid white text.
  • At it’s smallest, the logo will display at 50 px tall. Avoid small text as it will not be legible at this size. Simpler is better when branding the event pass!

Guidelines for Android

  • Logo should be in PNG format with an image aspect ratio of 1:1 and an artwork aspect ratio of 1:1. The actual pixel size will scale to device size.
  • The minimum size should be 660px by 660px.
  • Your logo will be masked to fit within a circular design. Ensure that your logo fits within the "Safe Area" of 840x840 pixels. Do not pre-mask your logo. Leave the logo in a square with a full bleed background color. The logo should have a 15% margin so that it is not cut off when masked.
  • An algorithm analyzes the logo to find the dominant color to use as the card background color.

When you're ready, select your accent color and upload your pass logo. To ensure accessibility and to comply with Apple design standards, only the logo and accent color are configurable at this time.
